Fermalac helps with:
-
Prevention of recurrent vaginal infections
-
Adjuvent treatment of bacterial vaginosis
-
Restoration of a healthy vaginal flora after antibiotic or antifungal treatments
Vaginal infections are the most common gynecologic disorder in women and are increasingly linked with a growing array of serious health risks including pelvic inflammatory disease, preterm delivery, urinary track infection, and an increased risk of STD.
Conventional therapies used to treat Vaginosis and Vaginitis, including Metronidazol or Fluconazol, often fail to restore the normal protective Lactobacillus-predominant flora leading to a high incidence of infection recurrence.

FERMALAC VAGINAL
Fermalac vaginal works to re-establish and maintain the natural Lactobacillus - rich protective flora and has been shown to significantly lower the incidence of chronic recurrent bacterial vaginal infections (Hatala 1999, 2000).
Fermalac vaginal works to reduce vaginal infection due to pathogenic bacteria, through:
- The production of organic acids to restore healthy pH levels
- Generation of anti-microbial hydrogen peroxide
- Competition for vaginal epithelial cell adhesion
The Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) in Fermalac vaginal also act to down-regulate inflammatory mediators.
Fermalac vaginal can be used in conjunction with antibiotics and has been shown to be a safe and well-tolerated therapy.
